Privacy Policy

This page explains what data Project Artemis (run by Richard Dorrestijn) collects when you use the website, apps, or libraries, and what happens with it.

1. What data we collect

Login cookie: One temporary cookie that stores a login token if you sign in with Discord or Fluxer. It disappears when you close your browser or log out.
IP address: The server automatically logs your IP for security reasons (to stop spam, flooding, or people trying to break in).
Discord / Fluxer info: If you log in or use features that connect to Discord or Fluxer, we get your user ID, username, and avatar. This can show up on server-specific leaderboards (ID, username, avatar, and message count). All of this is already public through the official APIs when you authorize it.
Anything else: We only collect extra information if you actively give it to us (for example through a form). You’ll always see when that’s happening.

We don’t sell, rent, trade, or give away your personal data to anyone for commercial reasons.

2. How we use the data

To keep the services running (logins, leaderboards, etc.).
To keep the servers safe and stop abuse.
To handle requests from you (like deleting your data).

3. Cookies

We only use one simple session cookie for logging in. It gets deleted when you close your browser or hit logout. No tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

4. How long we keep data

Discord/Fluxer data stays in the database until you ask us to remove it or we no longer need it.
IP addresses are normally deleted every day. If an IP has been flagged for actual abuse, we may keep it longer for security reasons.

You can ask us to delete your data anytime by emailing root@artemis.rest. We’ll do it unless we need to keep it for security or legal reasons.

5. Security

We use normal industry-standard encryption and access controls. Nothing is 100% unhackable, which is why we only store the limited data listed above.

6. Third-party services

Logging in and some features use Discord and/or Fluxer. What those platforms do with your data is covered by their own privacy policies. We only get what they send us through official authorized access.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can usually:

Ask what data we have about you
Ask us to correct or delete it
Object to certain uses of your data
Withdraw consent if we were relying on it

Just email root@artemis.rest and we’ll handle it according to the law.

If you’re in the EU or UK: You can also complain to your local data protection authority if you want.

If you’re in California: We don’t sell or share your personal information the way the CCPA/CPRA defines it. You can still ask for access or deletion by contacting us.

8. Changes to this policy

I might update this policy from time to time. If the changes are important, you’ll see a banner on the site. The date at the top will always show the latest version.

This site uses a singular cookie for the login process (holds a token if active) and will be cleared if you shut down your browser or hit the logout button. Other than that, your data is your own. Site analytics, server backups, and server logs are automatically deleted daily by a scheduled job. Any other data that might be saved is accidental, without ill-intent, and will not be viewed, since I only care about data I actually require. If for any reason you feel paranoid you can always contact me to have me tell you that data gets cleared daily.
